3 to 4 lb.
2 tsp.
garlic powder
2 tsp.
ground rosemary
½ tsp.
paprika
1 tsp.
salt
1 tsp.
freshly ground black pepper
1 ½ lbs.
baby potatoes washed and halved
2 tbsp.
butter, melted
Salt to taste
2 cups
chicken broth
- Preheat your grill to 325°F using the bottom burners on medium-low. Prep the potatoes by tossing them in melted butter and seasoning to taste with salt, set them aside. Combine the garlic powder, rosemary, paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Season the turkey breast and then carefully slide onto the rotisserie spit rod.
- Fill the rotisserie basket with the potatoes and add that to the spit rod.
- Test fit the rotisserie onto the grill and ensure that both the turkey and the basket have enough room to spin together. The basket and the rotisserie forks should be a little misaligned so that the thumb screws of both do not loosen each other.
- Place a drip tray with 2 cups of stock below the turkey breast and turn on the rotisserie motor. Cook the turkey breast and potatoes for 60 minutes before checking the internal temperature. You’re aiming for about 140°F.
- Turn the burners below the turkey to high and remove the drip tray. Cook an additional 10 to 15 minutes until the outside is crispy and the internal temperature is between 155°F and 165°F.
- Remove the rotisserie from the grill and allow the turkey to rest while you prepare the gravy. Slice the meat and serve with the potatoes, seasonal veggies, and loads of gravy.
