Breakfast Pizza Recipe
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I spend a lot of time on the Internet. Recently, I saw a photo of a delicious looking pizza with cooked eggs on top. It was some sort of dinner pizza, but I immediately thought that pizza would make a perfect breakfast food, especially made fresh and topped with eggs. Thus Breakfast Pizza and its resulting deliciousness came into being. Next time though, I am adding Hollandaise sauce!

1
Quick BBQ Pizza Dough
¼ cup
garlic butter, melted
¼ cup
tomato sauce (we recommend Grill Roasted Garlic Tomato Sauce)
½ cup
shredded cheese
¼ cup
your favorite toppings like onion, peppers, and mushrooms
4
eggs
1 cup
hollandaise sauce
flour for dusting
cornmeal for dusting
Napoleon Pizza Stone
Napoleon Pizza Spatula
- Place the Napoleon Pizza Stone onto the middle of the grill and turn on the two outside burners. The ones to the right and left of your pizza stone. Preheat the grill to 425°F.
- Prepare the Quick BBQ Pizza Dough and divide it into four equal portions. Roll each portion out on a floured surface. Try to make sure that the edges of each pizza are a little higher than the middle. This will create the perfect cradle for the eggs.
- Brush the four pizzas with the melted garlic butter.
- Dust the Napoleon Pizza Stone and Napoleon Pizza Spatula with a sprinkling of cornmeal. Use the spatula to transfer the dough to the pizza stone.
- Bake the dough for 5 to 7 minutes or until the top and bottom are starting to crisp.
- Add the sauce, some cheese and toppings to each pizza, continue to cook another 5 minutes or so.
- Crack each egg into a little bowl and pour one egg onto each pizza. Use smaller eggs, you will probably be pushing it with large sized eggs, plus you don’t want them to escape the pizza dough. Top the eggs with a little bit more cheese and cook with the lid down until the whites have set, about 10 minutes.
- Use the pizza spatula to remove the pizzas from the grill, top each one with hollandaise sauce, fresh parsley, dill, etc., and serve them immediately with bacon and freshly squeezed juice. Allow the stone and grill to cool down together to prevent any damage to your pizza stone.
This Breakfast Pizza was gooey, amazing, delicious, and pizza-y. All of the flavors combined to create the perfect breakfast. I left the bacon on the side so that I could dip it in the creamy yolk. (Feel free to cook the pizzas longer so that the yolk is set.) What do you eat for your perfect breakfast?
