Customize your Fireplace with this Design Tool

Choosing a fireplace is all about your personal style. Napoleon’s fireplaces feature so many ways to personalize them to suit your taste that it can be difficult to make a decision. This is why we created an online design tool—use the Fireplace Design Studio to find the perfect unit and accessories that are tailor-made to your tastes.

Here is how it works:

  1. Click the “Start Here” button.

  2. Choose “Fireplaces.”

  3. Choose the type of fireplace you wish to have or want to replace—select a fuel type, for example, electric, gas, outdoor, or wood.

  4. Choose the Series of your fireplace.

  5. Choose your product.

  6. Once you’ve picked the product, you can customize it by selecting options in the menu on the left side of the page.

For example, if your product is an Ascent Linear 56, you can change the decorative panel, log, rock, and glass media kits, safety barrier, and surround filters—ultimately creating your own version of this particular fireplace!

Your Unique Choice of Fireplace

Immerse yourself in a world of possibilities with Napoleon’s FDS! Here are some of the ways you can customize your home’s fireplace to fit your space, and your style.

Traditional with Modern Features

Whether brick or stone, traditional fireplaces have that classic look that never goes out of style. Wouldn’t it be nice to hear the wood crackle and pop as you and your family sit together for some downtime?

Traditional wood fireplaces used to be made with heavy but durable materials like cast iron. This made them fantastic insulators, but also challenging to operate That’s why there are traditional wood fireplaces made with modern features so that you get the best of both worlds; Napoleon’s High Country Series is the perfect example.

This series of wood-burning fireplaces feature a zero gravity glass door system that’s light and easy to move, yet built to last for generations. This makes the lighting and loading experience effortless and enjoyable. Some other wood fireplace features that are customizable through FDS include:

  • Smooth or traditional decorative firebox designs

  • Multiple styles of traditional andirons to choose from

  • Arched black and arched wrought iron surround and door designs (High Country 6000 series specific)

  • Cast iron grates or arched screen kits

They also have an exceptionally large viewing area protected by head-radiating ceramic glass and screen and an air wash system to keep it clean.

See-Through Fireplaces

If you want to connect your spaces—from one room to another—a see-through fireplace is your best option.

Not only does it create a connection between your spaces, but it also offers a dramatic view of the fire from two different areas. You’ll be creating a relaxing environment and increasing the comfort of two spaces at the same time.

The best thing is, some see-through fireplaces can heat separate areas at different rates using separate remotes. You can also change the transparency if you want some privacy. The features you can customize with FDS include:

  • Opaque, semi-transparent, or completely see-through privacy glass settings

  • Blue, orange, or multi-flame color options

  • Crystals or logs with glass embers media kits, all of which have their own color customizations

  • Black or stainless steel surround designs

For Narrow Spaces

Some people want a fireplace but think they lack the space to have one. If your home is on the smaller side, don’t give up on your dream fireplace just yet! There are fireplaces that are perfect for small spaces—yes, even in entranceways and bedrooms.

These types of fireplaces have a tall, slender design that can easily be installed in tight corners and narrow spaces. But small doesn’t mean sparse.

Napoleon’s Vittoria series and the Allure Vertical series, for instance, aren’t just compact; they come loaded with other great features. The Vittoria series can be customized in the following ways:

  • Sandstone or MIRRO-FLAME Porcelain Reflective Radiant decorative panels

  • Mineral rock set or realistic log set burner assembly

  • Contemporary black, brushed stainless steel, or traditional metallic black surround design

The Allure Vertical series can be personalized in the following ways using Napoleon’s Fireplace Design Studio:

  • Blue, multi, orange, or yellow flame color options

  • Just glass or logs and glass media kits

  • Customizable ember log beds in 6 color options

  • Option to add accent side lights

Elegant and Versatile

Some people pay close attention to aesthetics as much as they do function and safety. In other words, they want the complete package. Napoleon just launched Ascent BX 42 which fits the bill.

This fireplace features beautifully hand-painted split oak logs on a glowing ember bed; it’s one of the most realistic-looking fireplaces in the industry. It also has designer options that range from trims, fronts, and decorative back panels to shore fire, beach fire, and mineral rock enhancement kits, all of which can be viewed using FDS.
